Do the refills last as long as the Stix?
No. The Stix can last up to 10 years. Replaceable inserts absorb moisture and deodorize; replace those every 90–120 days. Your combo's two extra refill sets are replacements for later.
When should I put them in my gear?
Right after use, while the gear is still moist—not after it has dried out. Leave the Stix in between uses, and remove them before wearing your gear.
