The Stank Stix are very easy for my daughter to remember to put in her cleats after each use. This ease along with their incredible bacteria preventing and order eliminating technology has made soccer season much less stinky around our house.

I seem to be the odd man out on reviews on these, I had such high hopes after reading all of the positive reviews. My son plays high school football and his shoes are horrific, so we purchased these stank stix to help with the smell, well they still smell horrific. The stix may have soaked up a little smell, but they are still so bad we have to leave them out on the porch or our entire house smells horrible. Also, the stix have been in for about a week, so I thought maybe it would take some time to work, but not much change.

Hey Kelsey, So sorry to hear your Stix are taking longer to work, I hope you keep using them and hang in there so you will soon reap the benefits :) The stix are designed to inhibit bacteria growth (which is what causes the odor), absorb moisture (which is what causes the bacteria) and deodorize. In already stinky cleats just make sure you insert them right after use when moisture is present. The moisture in the shoe is what will activate the antimicrobial silver ions that are in the plastic. The odor will get better every day as the shoes are worn eventually neutralizing the odor completely. We don’t use any toxic chemicals to mask odors, so in already really stinky shoes, it may take longer for the Stix to remove all the different bacterias that are living in there causing the odor. Each use, it will get better and better as the Stix remove that bacteria by preventing more to grow. Some people see the difference over night, others in a few days, but depending how bad they are when you start, it could take a couple weeks to see the full benefits.
