I read the reviews and was still skeptical that these could work. I bought two pairs hoping for the best and they truly work. I put one pair in my daughters goalie gloves and another in my other daughters cleats and they make a tremendous difference! I will be buying more for the rest of the cleats in our closet!

My daughter's field hockey gloves still smell even after washing, soaking, etc. We tried the GloveStix and all it really did was make them smell different - not better.

Hey Abigail, I hope you will keep using them. This is actually a sign that they are getting rid of that bacteria that is in there which is super important not only for health but to get rid of the smell for good :) Different bacterias have different odors and some are more stubborn than others so they make take a little longer to come out of the glove. Every time she wears the gloves, and then inserts the Stix right afterward, the moisture in the glove (from her sweat) will activate the Silver Ions in the Stix that inhibit the bacteria growth so it will get better and better each time she uses them.
